Wairarapa World War One Heritage Trail

The trail highlights significant Wairarapa sites from World War One and its aftermath. 543 men and one woman are commemorated on local war memorials, from an estimated 2500 soldiers recruited from the Wairarapa. The presence of military training camps in the southern Wairarapa gives our district a particularly rich World War One heritage.
